Hiromi Murakami is a senior fellow with the Economic Strategy Institute. She led Asian research and focuses on Asian economic development models, state-industry relations, and comparative political studies at ESI. She was involved in various projects in US/Japanese institutions, including Center for Strategic and International Studies Global Health Policy Center, the Health and Global Policy Institute, the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. Murakami holds an MBA in international business, M.A. and Ph.D. in international relations from the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University, and B.S. in Physics from Sophia University.
